Its a great shame that 1000 Bikes won't be happening in 2014 perhaps another
event will 'spring up' that would be worth doing? I feel that its a pity for those
bantam racers who never did a 1000 bikes as they missed a great motorcycling
festival possibly never to be repeated...

My highlight was being on circuit with Steve Baker, Jim Redman, Mick Grant ,
John Copper and many many more. and being on 'Classic Mallory' not the
current Mickey Moused version.

Should a shame...

John you must be a Fred Wedlock fan. You will be pleased to hear I have been cleaning the bike with the finest universal cleaner known.

Something did turn up then after all. Basically a 1000 bikes festival in all
but name, to be run by Mallory Park/ National motorcycle muesum/ Mortons
motorcycle media. And interestingly its on the same weekend that it would of
been on anyway.

One downer is that July for the bantam racer is already busy with 2 race meetings.
So I'm gueessing? Making it very unlikely that any of the current crop of racers
will be there?
