D1-D7 3 speed gearchange springs

We have had several instances and problems with new pattern 3 speed gearchange return springs catching and making changing difficult. Both had the coils wide apart, maybe causing misalignment. Ken was even sold an A65 looking one as a Bantam part ! Has any one else had this problem ? I have ordered some new ones from Rex Caunt, hopefully they will be good.
