just got home from lydden and just wanted to say thank you to all the guys who spared their time to talk to me today. It was a real help to be given advice, hints and tips from the people with first hand experience. I now also have a starting point with my build. I will start with getting a rolling chassis, then do the engine work (with a little help from my dad) and then put it all together and acquire some plastics.
Also, thank you for some cracking racing, brilliant stuff to watch

Me too Zac! i would like to thank everyone who came to Lydden inspired me too take a few more steps to get to that starting grid. Thankyou. I am now very happy to meet you folks at last and to see the reality of the racing.

Gutted I had every intention of going but had a problem with the nedmobile and she who must be obeyed was going out so I couldn't nick her car.

ned, i just realised you live 5 minutes away from me do you/did you race?
also, are you the chap to talk to about cylinders/heads??

Does anyone know anybody who lives near/in Wiltshire/Hampshire who does/used to do Bantam racing?

Afraid not mate. Tom Miller did all my tuning to Mick Scutt's spec. Any knowledge I gleaned from them is long since forgotten and probably out of date due to av-gas now being allowed etc.
