Hi Mark
I love the look of your bike, the pipe looks a nice shape, I feel (yes john b "feel") the tail pipe is too small and too long, but I'm not sure I understand Mike silly comments!!, but more importantly the bike looks great.

I think you should drop the forks through the yokes, or shorten them.

Are you going to be ready for next season,? looks like your not far away,

dont forget plenty of time, dont forget to test before you turn up, and take your time, don't be rushed out before your ready.

best regards Derek

Hi all,

Well the plan Mike was to have the bike ready this year but never mind! But I do hope to have it ready and prepaired for Mallory. The forks are the same just a new front wheel WM1 18".

Edward the exhaust is mig welded 'not very well but it was a practice run'

Derek - The forks will be reduced by 10cm to fit correctly. Ready for next season! yep you bet can't wait. Tail pipe/stinger I've gone for a 26mm outside diameter which is about 24mm internal would this be too small? I have got 28mm dia with a internal of 25mm would this be better any thoughts!

JB thanks for your comment.

Regards

Mark

Your tailpipe internal diameter is just fine Mark! more important to getting out is the need for a silencer!! Twisted Evil Make absolutely sure the internal diameter of the silencer is larger than the tailpipe, otherwise you will get some overheating. Also use a Soft Alloy body as it tends to damp the sound down a lot better than steel.
There is a place in Lincoln that does sound wadding at a reasonable cost and I used it to good effect when I got into sound engineer problems! look via google on the internet for this.
Looking good Mark!! hope all goes well and you are running sweet at Mallory.
Cheers,
Alan

Al's the man that know's, I would like to add, I made the same mistake on this point, giving me some expensive results, my pipe was 25mm O/D with a 1.4mm wall making it 22.2mm I/D "too small", Al has been helping me on this, he has done lots of experimenting on the dyno.

is yours a 175cc ? which it looks, Tail pipe should be a "minimum" of 25mm I/D, so 28mm od pipe is ok as long as the wall is not bigger than 1.5mm( i think it may be 1.6 wall or 0.062" thou?).

Looking really tidy Mark, bantams always look great with no bodywork on you can see the ideas and design. recognise that subframe style Very Happy did you use original then chop half of it off, looks great.

Keep up the good work mate
