Why not, Derek?

If you want to be Period go back to Naked Bantams. Go back to long stroke engines and Bantams looking like that Icarus-1 heap on the <<<<< avtar here. .

I don´t think you´d get many takers.

And do they really talk technical stuff on Facebook? A long distance acquaintance who called himself my Friend (I hardly knew the dear chappie) got me on Facebook to ask how was I -- as his old friend -- and I was able to look at some of the similarly nebulous comments therein... Perhaps it was he that got me banned from using Facebook.

It is all part of progress. Engine management goes back a long way -- almost to the late 60s´... In the 70´s it was forced upon the Auto Industry by the EPA.

One thing that´s of great advantage -- particularly with 2-Stroke engines -- is that you can maintain the A-F (Air-Fuel) ratio within tight limits such that the engine gives its best performance without seizing, on WHATEVER fuel you are using!!

Latest I heard, which is Old Hat*** anyway, is that with the engine on Max Speed, Full Load you can weaken the mixture then richen it again just before seizure -- which gives a power boost.

I think it is time for the Bantam to have Direct Fuel Injection thus really controling the A-F ratio within those tight limits and improving combustion efficiency.

***snigger snigger -- yaawwn! Go well and keep well! Cheers!
