BSA Bantam or Harley Davidson Hummer ?

Here in United States, we dont see too many Bantams, however we do have 125 cc , 165 cc, and 175 cc, Harley Davidson Hummers!

My king of racing -- wide bars, not too much gear changing, NO BRAKES and sitting comfortably --- who could ever be comfortable with that chin-on-tank, knees-under- elbows lark!

I reckon you guys have big kahunas racing on those tracks.
I am building a 175 Bantam flatracker based on pictures of an early Hummer, for a mate.
I don't think I will be demonstrating it tho, it can just be for show alongside his '60s Ford Mustangs.

Great JohnS...! -- if I come over to your place can I have a ride? I really reckon Dirt Track, Flat Track or Grass Track -- none of that squashing the poor old body up into an articulated, unhealthy heap. I just wonder now why I ever did!!?

Should have stuck to Grass Track -- yet I would have missed some fantastic experiences had I done so. Like being Chairman of the BRC was really WEIRD!!

I always felt road racing was too precise and I was far too sloppy for it -- on grass the mistakes by risking too much don´t have the `g´ force that road does and consequently don´t hurt quite as much. On the straight at High Wycombe I was timed at 99.8mph (couldn´t quite squeeze that 0.2mph out of the JAP Enfield!) which says we weren´t going that slow on the grass.

Musn´t slip into sloppy nostalgia again -- so go well Young Man and keep well.

John have you forgotten "Salty" He was a grass tracker before he took up road racing and went on to win the British 125 championship.

Only joking Ned -- as usual, you´d no doubt say -- I was just getting the hang of road racing, with Andy´s 250, 5 gears and lots of grunt when greed for uplift of status & lovely money took over otherwise I´d have been another Champion...
