| For Jay Bee an others that might be interested and have not seen the Facebook post; in what other forms of Bantam Racers that are still being built and around: This is a first dry build of an American Flat Track style Bantam, built for my kitchen joiner. | |

| Yes, I know the tank is a little low at the back and the requested original seat springs are too high, these will be sorted | |

| Hello John , That`s a nice , interesting project you have embarked upon there , how standard is the engine spec ? Have to say that the cylinder head and exhaust system can`t be doing you any favours from power production point of view , but it does look " period " and certainly has that American aspect to it .
Keep us up to date with the on going build , could we perhaps see lashings of chrome and Candy Apple red paint job , pure Americana !
Regards , Trevor | |

| Trevor: This bike was essentially built as a show bike, to present between '60s Ford mustangs and to run occassionally for fun. Not really a serious track machine. At the moment it has a blue printed D7 bottom end, with mildly ported d7 barrel, 26mm carb, D14 piston and head. The chamber was off an old 60s racer, again looks the part ! dimensions similar to 60s Bacon / QUB
The seat is an after market chopper / bobber part I picked up from our TradeMe (~ = eBay) | |

| If the owner wants to go faster, we will fit some C15 forks with 35mm internals and swap engine for well tuned 17hP D14 motor | |

| No brakes -- or just a little rear one?
Now I´d just love to have a few hours on a dirt track with that --
(wait a moment -- perhaps we´ll make that periods of minutes with a dash of oxygen and Glen Fiddick in between...).
On a 300yard (not metres) oval I´d be really happy.
Rather childish!
But of course -- aren´t we all?!
Cheers!
