| I'm pretty sure its my old long stroke Bantam, as the frame and forks are right as is the tank and the fairing. The Ned head is obviously on the wrong way round. The seat has changed. The engine was built by Steve Chambers to the longstroke prep in the BRC tuning manual and it had a 32 Keihn carb on it. The head had acombustion chamber with squish so not like the one in the tuning manual. I had points ignition when I raced it 1982 to 84, I sold the bike to John Clark and his mate Ivan from the Stevenage area. Ivan did lots of machining and fitted a motoplat to the bike. The bike was sold on to a buyer in Ireland. And never heard of again until now? Mike Powell | |

| Nice piece of Bantam Bike History Mike -- but phwew the starting price!
Yet I must add that the fairing looks very nice!
"Sweet", perhaps a better word....
Good luck this weekend --
-- all of you, I mean.
Cheers! John-Boy.

| The way prices are going for very old Bantams that have not been used for decades I may sell my 175 and boost my pension. Anyone want the first 175 to win a championship race and finish 2nd in the championship 4 years running. Offers to TED this could make me retire(that should bring out some check books. | |

| You`re right there Ted, I`m tempted to put my w/c bike up for sale on the strength of those prices, just think, I could then buy a penthouse apartment in Monaco and have enough left for a 50ft motor yacht as a run-around in the harbour. Talk about having a laugh at the punters expense!

| Hi Ted
Any possibility of a photo or two of your bike for those too young to remember 'the good old days'.
