2015 had a great start to it as we now have not one but two sponsors supporting Bantam Racing :-
Rex Caunt Racing is supporting the actual Bantam Championship..
Rex and Debb can supply many, many things Bantam related whether its a road going D1 or a pukka out and out racer.. they have had some close ratio gears made too..

The 'BSA Bantam Club' is supporting the 'Summer Series' which is a mini championship with a few quirks throw in for good measure. Round 1 Tom Miller race was a handicap, R2 Richard Powell Memorial race was a straight race, R3 Fred Lauchbury Race is for Air cooled Bantams only, R4 The Shuttleworth Challenge Trophy race is a good old fashioned Push Start ( dead engine start) and is double points too boot!!

Mallory Park had 3 races only over the weekend, Mike Powell won the first 2races from Tom Snow with Ian Scutt 3rd twice, Sunday saw Ian win from Snowy with Rob Duesbury 3rd.

Anglesey saw Ian Scutt have a 1st and 2nd and in the first outing set a New Lap Record, but unfortunately failed to finish in the other 2 championship rounds. Mike Powell had a 2nd followed by 3 wins. Rob Duesbury had an effective weekend collecting points in all races. Others 2014 champ Michael Brown, father Robbie newbies Edward and Seb, stalwart James and Derek and returnee special guest rider Mike McDonnell had a challenging weekend. Round One of the Bsa Bantam Summer Series was won by "1984/5 season sensation" Mike McDonnell who promtly crashed Ted Smiths Bantam in the next outing..

Croft last weekend was a bit of a turning point in the Championship with Mike Powell winning all 4 races from Derek Betts, Rob Duesbury, an on form Michael Brown and Ian Scutt sharing the 2nds. Ian lead the first two races and was going like a rocket until seizures put him out of the running. Round 2 Bsa Bantam SS The Richard Powell race was won by Mike Powell

Next round Lydden Hill 25/26 July see's The 55th Celebration of the forming of The Bantam Racing Club and also The Fred Lauchbury Race for Air cooled Bantams! Details to follow very shortly - Robbie!!
