Hi All. Back in the good old days, the 60s/70s with the Bantam motors I built the Lodge RL49 spark plug were used without problems. Now with JS2 I have been using NGK B8evx the platinum vx range, I now understand NGK have replaced this by the BR8eix :- the Iridium range. Has anyone racing Bantams experience of these plugs?
I have to say for some reason JS2 did have plug problems with the B8evx so how about the GV type ie;- B8egv.? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
JS2 is now finished then on to the dyno man.
Les 2012.

Only ever used 10's les, but the iridium is the better suited according to my chat with the NGk man last year at the good wood festival, I've used the iex plugs, not noticed any difference between any I've tried though.

Don`t ever think of running an 8 grade plug in a race engine!! Dan is spot on, NGK Iridium of minimum 10 grade. I use a 10.5 in my w/c engine. They aren't cheap but you need the best to avoid melt down.
