| Thanks for the photos Dan. I would loved to have been a Cadwell but couldn't make it. It's a shame no one thinks to post the results for those of us that are interested but can't be there. | |

| Dan: Thanks for interesting photos of your engine. Are you running a standard crank drive shaft without the 6203 outer bearing ? Would make changing seals easier | |

| hi john,
are you asking about the engine of the yellow faired bike? that was my bike, not any more, it now has a new owner (davie) hopping he has as good a time on it as i did .
the crank on that engine has 20mm shafts and big bearings inboard up close to the flywheels, the seals are bigger too and held in with a big circlip, the shafts were made by me and mimic bantam tapers and so on, also on show is the gearbox conversion i did to make changing gear parts an easier affair .
i'll have ago at getting more photos up of the other races this year so far, the results from cadwell were i think a clean sweep from rob d, with mike and ian swapping 2nd&3rd , mike won the richard powell trophy , and also went very well in the 250 class winning one of the races | |

| Thank you Dan...
At least we get a bit of info on here -- on what`s going on.
I e-mailed one of the present , well known acers as to why he didn´T post on here and had no reply.
Too busy, of course, but it was last year....
Rather sad really.
Cheers

| Fascinating pics Dan. Thank you.
To think Icarus-1 (in the logo) cost 40 quid to build and the engine was found in a field. Add four sets of CR gears and the Icarus-2 costing less than 100 pounds. Racing Racing a Bantam was as Roy Bacon said in his book, "Racing On The Cheap" ...
... so what are we talking about for a reasonably competitive bantam Racer these days?
... now a vintage special -- 1.5 to 2.0K pounds? About right, I think.
Cheers!
