tony when you say bike went missing in bucks are you saying the advertised bike is possibly stolen?

I rang the guy in the evening after Pete posted the initial message. Although it had been sold a couple of hours before I rang the guy on the phone told me it was a sprint bike project in a college. Many of the bits got stolen one day and the leftovers that the thieves did not take were for sale.

That sounds like the engineering college in Aylesbury that were building a bantam as an exercise and were hoping to race it. Paul Brown was the guy in charge i think, he posted on this forum some time ago.
