| Hi Tim, I use Rock Oil Synthesis 2 racing two stroke for pre-mix. I use 40 cc of oil for every 1 litre of fuel. This is a fairly oily mix but the wear on the engine is very minimal and it gives no trouble. The ratio works out to 25:1 which is plenty OK. Others use slightly different ratios but the reality is that you must stick with what ever it is that you choose so that you can work on other settings rather than mess with ratios. I have used other oils like Castrol 2T just as successful, but use the Rock oils for convenience. Cheers and see you at Mallory, Alan | |

| hi Alan,
thanks for your reply. just to tell you im not coming to Mallory because of the BSB because i live in Salisbury nr. Southampton the price of going up to Mallory is about £200 if you think of travel, accomadation and stuff like that. I'll see if a can make it to any other race meetings this season. I'm hoping to get Andy C's old bike. I've rung him and ive got the details. Now i just need to make my mind up.
cheers,
