Indeed Robbie a warning to us all, well those that run a flat slide carb.
How old was the slide in question? Had it done a lot of hours?
Down to your motor's great suck and blow(back)!! which piston valve
engines have. (seems to be the new term for piston ported in the glossies)

My advise is send to Lectron for a matched body and slide and go for a smaller
bore size venturi.

Other that that how did both bikes go??

Hi Roddie and all

I hope it was'nt to costly Rod,!! my goodness the size of that piece and in the crancases,? "Ouch -"the thought of that rattling around!!.

but no fear Rod like all good councillers, I came up with an excellent idea, " of couse this will be rushed through parliment" as its an "health and safety issue".!!,

What Rob needs is a flat plate covering the inlet tract, within the port, with a small Hole say max 3mm at the top to allow air through, (see just thinking of your safety Rob, this 3mm hole will need a gorse mesh, and it should be mandatory and within our H&S rules and "for all Bantams who run on lectron'sto have them, !!!!!!!!!!!.

but please dont make them till I have applied for the patent. ! then I promisse I will not charge you much for the licence to use them,! well not a lot,
and I promise to agree only! to put them up each year by "not more than" 3 times the inflation rate and will be tax free in the first year +vat "sound familier" your absolutly right spoken like a good "PR and "re-educated" schooled MP" - my new PR training/schooling seems to be working "dont you think".!
