Way back in 1987 Peter Hogan , of Bantam fame , created the RCA 350cc engine . In it`s methanol burning form it churned out 44bhp . The last of the works 125 Aprilias were good for 55bhp , so what is the connection you may ask ? It lies in the combustion chamber , the same flat roof central plug design can be seen in both engines , The RCA ran at 8-1cr , the Aprilia double that !
So , well done Peter , just shows what a Bantam legacy can achieve !

Oops , sorry, The time line for the RCA engine should have been 1957 , my scribbled notes are to blame , 87 is far too young !
