PostSubject: Bottom end power.   Bottom end power. Icon_minitimeSat Dec 24, 2011 1:22 am

Hi, I am building a trials Bantam using a 4 spd B175 engine bored to 185, I will be using electronic ignition etc. I have been told that to obtain more bottom end I need to have the transfer ports "worked on". Does anyone have any info/ spec on what I need to get done, or any other tips??. I am building the engine myself but will pass the barrel to someone else to sort out. I will be using a Delorto carb or may be Mikuni?? Thanks in advance

Hi Andy

Rex Gaunt still makes, barrels and heads and provides pistons in fact he can provide you with a complete top end, he also does ignitions and he is well known in the trials /MX Bantam arena.

We are meeting him on the 28th December at the sugarbrook Pub on the A38 from 11.30 onwards just off Junction 1 of the M42 there are a number of Bantam racers bringing bikes and bits and pieces to look at, you are welcome to come along and take a look, Rex is comming to and he is bringing some barrels and bits and pieces with him.

regards Derek
