I have just had a call from Rays wife with the sad news that he suddenly passed away this weekend. Ray was former bantam racer and friends with Roger Louis since their school days.

I am very sorry to hear the sad news, Ray was a good racer and friend for many years. We still met a few times a year and had a beer. He was involved in many clubs for all sorts of things and was always on the go. Hazel said he had a massive brain Haemorrhage and did not suffer, he died on night of Friday 25 of July. My thoughts are with Hazel, Royston & Michael. RIP Ray and thanks for the close races and good times.
