If a stock motor 's contacts just start to break at 32º before TDC, why do race motors contacts start to open much closer to TDC.

what governs the contatcs timing BTDC on a 2 stroke motor? If you raise the port timing 3mm on a stock motor, at what º BTDC would you have to start with?

Still haven't gotten around to assembling and balancing the 1/8" stroker crankshaft, hopefully soon. That will give me a slight positive protusion of the piston above the gasket surface, instead of being .040" below the gasket surface and will bump the displacement up to 197cc at standard bore.
