afternoon, can anybody tell me how many cc the pe 175 piston (64mm) crown is...save me having to get hold of a burette and then getting it wrong anyway... thanks scratch

Assuming you have a standard Bantam 58mm stroke, then a 64mm PE Piston will give 187cc.

std size PE175 is 62mm use this first then you'll have 4 more rebore sizes to save your barrels from being re sleved. That's unless you're on an iron barrel if so go and see Brian White at meeting and ask him to do you a BTW ally barrel, much better in the long run Wink

thanks for the replies but im trying to calculate the combustion chamber cc for which i need the the value the piston crown is in cc ... ive found someone who can make up an insert for the head if i can give him the cc volume required....

how do you work out the engine size from the bore and stroke. im stuck figuring it out!

Pi x Radius squared x height

so 3.141 (Pi) x 1024 (radius squared) = 32768 x 58 (height) = 186.58 cc

Your compression ratio is the volume of the cylinder head divided by the swept volume.
