Hi all,

Just poped back from my local VMCC Stonehenge club meeting-(my first!)
Talked to a few guys that i was going to do Bantam racing. Most of them were quite interested in this subject and told them more about it. Norman White-a Norton speciailist was there giving a talk and told him about that. He said he knows Mike Powell! Do you know him Mike? A couple of people were told me they'd probably give it a try once they got the bike! Shocked
Found a guy who makes custom spoked wheels-quite good to know if you need new rims! Anyway all was very good and i will be back for more!

Thats the way Tim. When I started Bantam racing way back in 1971 I used to travel down from Nottingham Uni to the Tuesday night meetings of the South East Midlands Centre. With people like Bernie Adey, Dick and Dave Hunter, Max Ridge, the Scudder Bros, Amos Bros (and quite a few others I cant remember) on hand to tap for information it was well worth making the trip. Could never get much out of the Amos's though! - Dave won the Championship that year.

Good luck with your project!

Pete

Hi Pete,

I have recently bought an iron barrel from Zak and i need a hand on changing the porting on it? I'm probably going to send it to the sand blasters this week or next. How did you port your iron barrel?

Is that the manufactuer? So far i used my dad cordless drill with a rotating sander-but its too time consuming! I'm going to the sand blasters this afternoon so they can do it.
