| Would anyone be willing to sell and send me two endless primary chains for my Bantam race project. I live in the USA and could pay with PayPal. Thanks, Andy | |

| Hi Tim, the rear chains we all use vary, I have gone to a 420 chain as there is plenty of good quality to chose from, and they can be bought over the counter from any bike shop if you get stuck. Not as easy to get a 514 rear chain, but some of the riders still use these ones and also the Reynolds imperial version. Sprockets both front and rear in 420 chain size are easy to obtain, and I cut rear sprockets from 420 blanks for any number of teeth if you need to get a selection sorted. Note you are going to need quite a few! Buy your primary chains (the one in the clutch case) from Robbie or his source, as they are trouble free and last well. Note we change ours through the season and I do it as a matter of course about half way through, that way you never get trouble. or a primary chain snap, as the mess is really bad! Do NOT use the type of primary chain with a link as it definitely will break on you! Cheers, Alan | |

| Hi Alan,
Where do you source your 420 g/b sprkts from?
Just asking because i thought only the original BSA sizing was available. (BSA sizing was for the 110044 Renold chain which has 0.335" dia rollers, not the 0.305" roller dia used in 420 chain).
You can lose power, and increase chain wear dramatically. by using 420 chain on BSA sized sprockets. | |
