| Hello all, this is my first post. I've recently bought a 60's (?) bantam racer which is very unspoiled and very period. The forks are Velocette LE, engine is a D3 with a Todd head, Alpha crank and porting, crank stuffing etc. It's been very nicely engineered and the work done on it is really good quality. I'm not intending to race it, I'm sure that it wouldn't be remotely competitive nowadays, but I would like to do a bit of vintage sprinting with it. I just wondered if anyone had come across this bike in the past, and is there anyone around who would be able to advise about running and maintaining this type of 'old school' engine/tuning? Thanks John | |
