| Subject: How heavy is your wheel?? Sat Apr 02, 2011 6:27 am | |
| My revamped rear wheel has a weight saving over last year of near 200g and because its unsprung weight it should feel more like (x6) 1.2kg.. Every little helps and all that Example :- Rear wheel steel rim 12g spokes 6.2kg (std road wheel) Rear wheel ally rim 9g spokes 4.4kg (last season) Rear wheel alloy(borrani) rim 10g spokes 6 holes in drum 4.2g (this season) Going out in the garage now to remove steel and alloy brackets to replace with plastic nylon and cable ties... | How many horsepower for 102KG? p.s. this is my weight, not the weight of the bike. Don't be surprised haha, county rugby locks are also heavy... | |

| Hi Chaps , got in early today and have robbed the bathroom scales to weigh the water-cooled before the missis gets in. would not say it is 100% accurate but 88.4KG with 5 LTRS of fuel. off to the rolling road tommorow to test for gearbox ,clutch ,fueling, waterleaks, oil leak issues prior to Mallory on friday, a long way to go to watch! hope to see some of you there. regards Nick | |

| Because I find this interesting I have compiled the following table, where I have no real data available I have done the only sensible thing and guessed. | Derek you asked me for a magic prescription to go faster? Never mind, lighter spokes, health spas and fancy Elf fuels; get your hands on one of these. Our kids love energy drinks, James found this one. I said I had my hands on one for a while ! | |
