| Hi ed I feel Robs Bike pulls higher revs than most 175 this is just a guess, I think if you started on 16 x 49, 50, 51, 52 you will not be far out, I dont feel you engine will pull more than about 8500 from what Ihave seen, this is good as it will last longer! also I feel this would be the norm for a 175 pulling to say 8500 to 9000.
Ill be running 17 x 49 and not puling any higher than 9400 on the dyno with this.
regards Derek | |

| Well ours was as mixed weekend, dad got round on the Saturday but it seized. Big thank you to Tom and Robbie for helping to sort it out for us to be able to think about getting out again at the next meeting (but much quicker!)
Kind Regards
Eddie & Malcolm.
p.s Added bonus, got to meet Ned over the weekend, what a genuine and nice guy. | |

| Good Evening All,
We are gonna try and do another Mallory practice day and may do the parades instead of the racing at Lydden so we don't get in the way.
Kind Regards

| Hi Eddie nice to meet up with you at Snetters. I might be wrong but watching Malcolm circulating I got the impression from his body language that he was content to cruise round and wasn't interested in squeezing any more from your project. If I'm wrong it's a case of 'get your chin on the tank and wring it's neck Malcolm'. If I'm right 'have you considered having a go yourself, taller guys than you have wrapped themselves round a Bantam'. Ether way don't quit. | |

| Good Evening Ned,
Was nice to meet you also. We have had no end of problems just getting to the point of being out for a meeting.
Yes we admit that we were slow out on track but it was dad's first time to ever be out properly on the bike, he has never been round the circuit. We aren't gonna quit and will try again.
As for myself racing well we will see how things pan out.
Kind Regards

How are other new builders/learners coming with their builds, are any expecting to be out at Lydden racing or parading?
Kind Regards

Dan you won't get anything back untill a week or two before the meeting think its a ticket think sure u will have an entry but to put your mind at rest and add to the buzz of getting out there you can always call Pauline or Carroll they are really helpfull and will confirm your entry, there number is on the bit of the regs you keep.
See you there Ian |

| Can anyone advise regarding rear brake cable if the cable ends have to be soldered or the screw on ends suffice to pass scrutineering for lydden.
Kind Regards

| Good Evening All,
Although things didn't go according to plan it was a great weekend. Was great to meet and chat to people with staying at the circuit.
Thank you to everyone who came and had a chat and gave advice.
Kind Regards

Has anyone seen or heard of a c/r box that doesn't have the round pegs and holes for want of better wording.

| Hello ed, have a look at my last few posts , I put a picture of a 28t gear I made with standard type holes to mate up to a normal road 2nd gear with just a bit removed from the dia of the drive dogs to keep the 28teeth wall thickness the same

| Hi Dan,
Thanks for that and fair play to making your own, bar you making them it was the first set I have seen different but with all the correct teeth to be a close ratio box.

| Good Evening All,
Dad is trying to check the compression ratio of his head, is there an easy way to do this?
He has measured the volume of the head and its come out at 30cc, does this seem reasonable?
Kind Regards
