yes I know Ed,

thats great, thanks for letting me know, it should be really good this time, and the timing looks agreable to all those, Im still waiting for a few to confirm I will then confirm with the venue, hopefully all will have no issues at the practice day meaning we should have a good turn out, also with a bit of luck we should have a few engines to look at too.

regards Derek

Ed if you would load the photo's, my good side please!,

many thanks for bringing along all the things you guys are working on, a special thanks to both Mike mcDonald and Mick Potter for taking the time to support our meeting.

I would just like to say, thank you Mike, and thank you Mick.

a few positives Ed found a very important item "a way to the Bar.

regards Derek.

Hi Edward. The bars on the blue bike look very wide. # Regulations state the minimum width of bars but not how far inboard the grips and levers have to be.
I notice that on your red and yellow bikes the throttle is on the out-most part of the bars. It is good practice to have them further in, so that in the event of a spill the throttle can snap shut and not be wound open on the tarmac causing the engine to blow.

#Unless rules have changed since I last got my leg over.

Hi IAN

forgive me for answering this for Ed, we have a window of 12 till 1.30 for making noise, not disturbing the locals but, we did between these times, not all the bikes were running, but the boys in blue turned up brieflty just as we started making noise, it was a good day you would be very welcome to come to future meetings,

Hi ian
I dont know the answer to your question.

but like you I'm keen for new starters to get started, but I think its so important for them not to rush, "just to get out", and to get out when they are ready.

But I can tell you "he has entered the Mallory meeting"

talking about Mallory - has anyone got their details through yest ? as I have still not had mine.

I don´t recognise any of the three faces and the back of the head of the fourth at the table -- who are they, please?

Brilliant idea to have regular meetings -- better than using a website.

Cheers!

Hi Ned,

Entirely my fault with the grips, i didnt think about that and thank you for pointing it out.

With regards to the bars on the blue bike do you mean that they need turning in? we have moved them up a bit and gonna look at angling them in, is that correct?

Kind Regards

Eddie

Hi Edward it's perfectly understandable that you set the grips as you did. On the road we need the throttle to stay open if we are doing hand signals. But for racing we need it to snap shut.
Re - position of bars. That's largely down to personal preference. I liked mine narrow and steep (a trend set by Jarno Sarenen) but that meant a fare amount protruding beyond the grips to comply with the minimum width rule. It wasn't uncommon for some guys to alter the position of their bars after scrutineering. Wink

Good Morning all,

As the season is now over im thinking of organising a meeting, it will probably be towards the end of October as not to interfere with anything and probably be in Gloucester. If anyone is interested let me know.

Kind Regards

Thankyou Ed ,
Is the 21st a fixed date , as i have friends staying over that weekend and it would be awkward to abandon them whilst i am off
enjoying myself ?
If that date suits the majority then fine , i`ll make it another time .

Trevor .
