hi mike. had a look at ignition system today and decided there is definately something wrong. i have 74 ohms across the genny windings and 234 ohms at the pulser or pickup coil, having no info on this system, that dont help me too much as with my finger up the plug cap i still haveno spark. think i would like to accept your offer. maybe we should talk on the phone as i dont do the keyboard too well.

Hi Phil,
I would strongly reccommend that you don't (in all seriousness) stick your finger up the spark plug cap to see if it works as the Honda ignition system can generate enough spark to kill you.
I see marshall's pulling plug leads off bikes all the time and a few have had a nasty shock as a result.
