| Interesting looking machine Paul, the monoshock looks well made, do you have any details at all, who owns it etc? Looks like a Todd head and Gardner carb but I might be mistaken after all these years. Front forks are nothing to write home about but could be the basis of a decent bike with a little TLC and innovation. Is it 125 or 175? Excuse the ignorance but I was never a Bantam expert, I had Tom, Mick and webby to refer to when I needed help | |

| Monoshock unit is SPAX and dates from c1976. The h/b levers are of course doherty, and those were commonly used in the early 1970's. Coil ign (dont think its Luminition), and the Dunlop triangulars might preclude competitiveness these days, not to mention the very solid rear end springing! Float chamber size looks about right for the Gardner though.
I would think this machine was last campaigned between 1976 and 1980.

| Well, its not one of mine but it is similar to (or copy of) the first one I built which was sold to Derek Betts. This means the one I built with Pro-link rising rate rocker arm suspension is still out there somewhere!!!
first monoshocks were c 1978 and there were three of us at one time but I can't remember who the third was.

| Good luck with the re build Paul, I'll have to pop up at some stage. If you want to just clean it up and run it you could bring it to Wroughton sprint in July, if them tyres aren't cracked they'll be all right for straight lining Tony | |
