Oil / Fuel ratio

I have always used a 20:1 mix and when stripping the engine there has always been evidence of lubrication at this level. Has anyone dropped to say 30:1 or above and had significant increase in failures ?

Tend to run my TZR250 at 40:1 without issue but in a much lower state of tune
