| Wish I could be there again--
I rode the 1927 Triumph "Model TT" (500cc road hack in the twenties) round there as well as the Bantam & 250ABS -- the old Triumph had hand-change (which I had not had the time to convert -- ) I say `Riding´ `cos I´d only put the old Triumph together a couple of days before the meeting and with hand change and constantly jumping out of gear We (bike & me) were no competition for Scotts, Rudges, BSAs and Nortons there that day -- although I was using Victor Martin Track methanol with 0.2% Puredin...

| Hi Derek, Did you find out anything about the "... foot on the rests during the race..." rule whilst there? Saw on telly a lot of Stars were stretching a leg before the corner...
And what about the Jonas Folga incident in the 125? Were you nearby to see the brilliant bit of passing on the last bend in the 125 race by Folga. The commentator was going nuts over the way the two Gemans were battling it out ...
Cheers! JayBee. | |

| Hi John the two guys were not German, one from spain, the one doing the pushing was nearly lynched after the incident, they gave him 20 sends otherwise I do not think he would have been allowed out of the circuit alive. ?
foot pegs issue, no answer's just looks ?
and to busy hiding from the rain to work on the .

Andy C is taking the bike to the meeting for him. Then we will decide wher it goes to be prepairwd for Lydden ,were A M will be on it again. What is happening after that is not yet decided.

| You are not alone Ted! I´m dropping clangers all the time.
I hope things are going OK with your treatment, all the best ...
Came across a copy of an old photograph where you, in natty leathers, are at the end of the line-up with left hand across your midrift. Bill Lawrence is standing at your right shoulder, then come Terry Brown, Peter Styles, John Pearce and then the tall, lanky lad in white-topped leathers -- looking the Dude, Mick Jones -- a head above Mick Scutt and finally Keith Webb. They all seem to have a lot of hair -- including you with a large lump of the growth under your nose.
Was that The Estern Centre lads assembed -- in WHAT YEAR? -- withOUT Colin Aldridge -- how on earth did you manage that without the Wobbleyman??
Perhaps Colin was into sponsoring by then?
Take care, John. Cheers!

| Yes John the leathers are blue with yellow stripes. That was the team race winner’s photo in 1976. I think Collin was racing a TZ then and had stopped borrowing bantams to wreck. | |

| Wonderful! `76 -- I was living it up in Montreal on Budweiser! Last time I spoke to The Wobbleyman was on Slick´s mobile phone when they were both at Daytona with Scott Russell. Good old days -- the early 70´s I mean. Cheers JayBee -- for John-Boy, a not yet extinct species!
