Last weekend Alan sustained serious damage to his back following an accident on his mini moto at the Lincoln indoor karting circuit.

He is currently in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Glossop Road, Sheffield S10 2JF, Neurological Ward N1, tel 0114 271 2320, awaiting an operation.

Just spoken to Chris on phone. Alan is due an operation tomorrow (thurs).

It seems very serious. Please note Visiting hours are 4 - 8pm.

Am sending a card to him at the address given by Chris. Lets stay optimistic.

Alan has had surgery and is awake and can move his legs , so hopefully a full recovery is on the cards.

I visited Alan this evening , he is pretty chirpy and making plans for when he is 100%. Some way to go but on the mend.

Latest news from Dawn;

Alan is up and walking about for anyone wanting to visit he is now able to have visitors twice a day 14:00 to 15:30 and 16:00 to 20:00

I visited Alan in hospital yesterday evening. He is very appreciative of everyone who has sent cards and messages. The good news is that he expects to be allowed home soon.
