| Anyone interested in having a presence at the Festival of a 1000 bikes. To try and let a lot of people know about Bantam Racing? We can have bikes on BHR static stand and come Parade time - wheel them off have a good blast round 'Old Mallory' no chincanes! This is with like minded people in the racing parades(sunday only). Everyone who comes to BHR meetings know what we do and how fast we are... Loads of people go to the festival who don't know about us. Cost is I think £56 for one event-one machine and its a bit of practice too.. Needs to be 4 or 5 of us minimum... Your comments pls - worth doing or a waste of time? | |

| Hi Mike Happy New Year to you and all the Bantam fraternity. That sound like a very good idea to me. I would be interested in that. Might need to "tart" my bike up a bit in readiness
Best regards Steve

| Excellent! anyone else coming to support it? Steve get your entry in for Sunday race parades its £56 for 2 or £79 for 3. I'm going to do 3 to get some more setting up done on 003. I'm going to be there Saturday to help set up stall. And I'll have the T-shirts from Mary to sell over the weekend too. Should all improve our profile... Robin are you doing parade plus sprint demo? | |

| Hi All, I will get there at least one of the days committments getting in the way!) but will just help where I can, I will be praising the value of Bantam racing to all and sundry!! If I can get the bike across just as a static exhibit then I will arrange that. I can print out a few fliers for handing out and maybe that will help too. Cheers, Alan | |

| I've got an acceptance back -my bike has been classified :- 'Q' Intermediate Race Bike It's obiviously done on engine size and not performance/lap time - think I should be in 'T' Very Fast Race Bikes | |

| Just a reminder to enter the Festival of 1'000 Bikes...
The more Racing Bantams the better be it around the track or on the BHR static display!!
There are lots of people at the 1'000 bikes and they need to know about us and what we do....

| Oi Robbie - steady Tiger - did'nt you Know Mike's in the same leage as Roberts Haslam / Rossy Rainey and Ago, that why he's a past master." beside it's his mind games' where he gets the name "the fox" from you have to be able to visualise first, before you can do it, Mike I believe is still in the visualising stages. besides he's won just as many if not more championshps than most of them, the fact these are club and there's world :- Is in my opinion irrelivant, besides Mike will wake up some day, lets hope its soon, as we can all then stop dreaming then and have a chance of winning too !. regards Derek | |

| I wasn't retired last time I did the past masters parade, Rob....
Thought it would be good PR for the class..... Lots of folk watch the Past Masters parades where they don't always watch all the race bike parades.... Hope it will show the 'Bantam' in a good light compared to other 40 year old bikes... And hopefully people may think about racing a Bantam.....

| We had a good display at the Festival - Now a lot more people know what we do and how racing Bantams can be!
Robbie and I 'won' all our Q (intermediate race bike) parades between us and basically did some high speed demostration laps exchanging places...
Andy Checkley was also giving the Ex Pell/Cashmore/Webster rolling chassis an outing with his 125 motor...
I was out with various Past Masters in session 2 with Jim Redman, Sammy Miller, Niall Mackenzie, Donny McLoud Alan Carter and many more. I lapped faster than most and did a Formula Bantam proud in such company...
My bike between sessions was on the BHR stand and Alan was on hand with info wisdom and Bsabantamracing flyers...
Many thanks too all hightening our profile in the classic/historic racing world.....
(ps. apologies to Ted - seeing you to wave to twice but not to chat - chat you at Lydden!)

| Also have a look at Youtube "Festival 1000 Bikes 2011, Pre 65 Trials, Grasstrack and Various Race"
A completely incidental question: does anyone know of a company or an individual that can make one-off gearbox sprockets? I'm guessing a broach is needed to cut the splined hole and the thing would need to be case hardened. Be grateful for any leads or info.
