I was quicker than him thro´ Paddock (the old corner before they made it easy) on Icarus-One. At my max of 8,400 rpm revs on 47 x 15 gearing (which gives roughly 82mph) I did not shut off and apparently Ago shut-off and fell off there and my Mentor cum engine tuner reckoned Ago was only doing 80....!!
And I was only practising!!

Blessed is the clear memory --

Congratulations to Mike Powell for winning the first race opps parade at 1000 bikes at Mallory. and letting me win the second one
What a great weekend. I feel we put on a great show for the pubic with 3 bantams in the sessions. Would have been better if we had some more bikes on the track. so who’s up for it next year ? I will be there it should be about the same time as this year so come on lads put a date in your diary for next year. lets seen if we could get ten or more bikes out ???

Well done Mike, Alan, and all others connected with this fine display of Formula Bantams. I was interested to hear that the Ex Dick Hunter Graham Berwick / Gerry Pell/ Cashmore/Webster is rolling again, albeit with a different motor. This machine was notable in apperance by having a longer swing arm, constructed from rectangular steel tubing.

Alan, I can put up a b&w side view photo of this machine, if you give me a reminder....
